A perfect beach, this is the sort of beach you see in the movies when people are shipwrecked, you know the sort you though didn’t exist, but they do they do. You just have to go to the middle of nowhere to find them.
This beach was on a private Island, which pretty much means it’s in the middle of nowhere. If you find a beach like this don’t expect a party round the corner. We actually got in trouble for being here as it was a private resort, escorted of the beach back to the dock, woops, heard of being kicked out of a nightclub but of an Island!!!! Oh well it was worth it sorry Island and people that are happy to take out a new mortgage to go there.

Nurse sharks seem to be the most common around the Caribbean or they’re the ones that people see when they go diving. This one, along with a few of its friends was not in the wild; there was a whole bunch of them in a pool at a restaurant on Union Island, I am yet to see a shark in the wild here in the Caribbean although thanks to Steven Spielberg I still get scared if I'm swimming off a boat in open water.

In relation to an old post “Snow in the Caribbean” I’ve just come across some new information, I’m not certain that it’s entirely accurate but it’s a good theory.
The reason the rocks look like they have a dusting of snow on them is because actually they have a good dusting of bird poop on them, this is actually quite gross and a far cry from snow, I can’t imagine that you could ski or board on bird poop however thick it was, or want too for that matter.

Dolphins
This is for my mum as she says she has never seen Dolphins in the wild. I see them all the time, albeit from afar, hence the blurry photo, sorry mum it’s much enlarged I’ll try better next time. Normally they’re gone by the time you get your camera or you miss them but I had a lucky day. Well lucky ish if I was really lucky I’d get closer. It never gets old when you see them though; everybody always gets a little bit excited. See thats how far awy.......

Shopping made easy
Normally you have to go to a market or a shop to get your fish or fruit and vegetables but in St. Lucia they come to you, Little boat men, In the above picture I’m choosing vegetables, the fish boat is waiting for me to finish then he will ask me what I want and then go catch it for me. I may not actually be the cheapest way to get your food and you defiantly need to haggle but it’s very convenient and you need to do your bit to help the locals.

Swimming on horses
Yes I know! Horses can swim but it’s really nice to go riding on them in the water in tropical heat with your bikini on. It was a little strange at first I kept thinking I was going to fall off without having a saddle but it wouldn’t have really mattered if I had. The only problem was when I got off there was a whole lot of unwanted hair in between my legs, but nothing that a swim couldn’t sort out.

Sorry Mr Lobby
As if I didn’t find boiling a creature alive sinful enough, normally I can put the lid on and start doing something else a vaguely forget about the situation, but with the above Spiny Lobster, the biggest one did not fit in my biggest pan. The problem was I didn’t realise till I had the poor thing half in, so I had to try to ram it in and in doing so I snapped a leg off, Oh, it was awful! Eventually just balanced the lid on top of it, but I still had to watch the lid bob up and down with legs sticking out as the creature tried desperately to get out. I’m not evil but this day I felt like I was. My advice to myself, Buy a bigger pan!!

Leftover Turkey Salad
A great option if you are feeling like you over ate over the last few days, or maybe you didn’t if you have left over’s but never the less:
Leftover Turkey
Cucumber
Romaine or Iceberg lettuce
Spring onions
Raisons*
Dressing
White balsamic Vinegar 100ml
Olive oil 100ml
Squeeze of lemon
Salt and pepper
Again this being a salad, I would just consult the above picture, but I listed the ingredients as well, but really it depends on you how much or each ingredient you want to add and how much leftover turkey you have.
The reason the Raisons are on the side is not just for presentation but lately I’ve discovered that lots of men don’t like sweet things in savoury things, specific examples as above raisons in salads, pineapple on pizza, sweet and sour stuff etc. Now it can’t be all men but a lot that I know of. So I like to put the sweet things on the side, because some people, more women, like myself absolutely love them. Any comments on my theory would be greatly appreciated.

Lint 99% intense chocolate,
For eating this you really have to develop a taste for it, it’s so coco like. They even have a little blurb on the inside of the packet on how to develop a taste for it by building yourself up to eating it by eating the 75 % then the 85% first. This makes me laugh, it makes it sound like chocolate really is a drug. Having said that one of my friends absolutely loves it; I’m not so keen and would opt for milk chocolate any day so maybe it’s just personal preference.
For cooking however I think this stuff is the best if you want really really chocolaty things, I use it all the time and was surprised to be able to find it in the supermarket in Tortola, BVI’s.

Market
The undercover market in Cannes is one of the best even by French standards, in the morning it has a huge array of fruits, vegetables, seafood, spices and flowers but close to it are all sorts of other food shops, one of them being Petrossian Paris where you can buy the most expensive caviar in the world and top quality vodka and quality Fois Gras, but were talking more than the average persons monthly pay check for some of the stuff.
