Nutmeg and Mace
Two spices are derived from the nutmeg tree, Nutmeg and mace. Nut is the fruit of the tree and Mace is the covering that looks to me a bit like the waxy stuff from a baby bell cheese, except it covers the fruit like veins. This is the only plant that produces two different spices
Nutmeg is widely used in cooking but most commonly known in mulled wine and eggnog an America concoction.
Essential oils from the plant are heavily used in the perfume and pharmaceutical industries.
Nutmeg butter can also be obtained from the plant and can be used as a replacement for coco butter, or can be mixed with other oils and can be used as an industrial lubricant.
